As a California Wedding Photographer, I have come to realize that a lot of people don’t know what to do after they have had their pictures taken. It also brought me to the realization that, as a photographer, it is our responsibility to bring more awareness to what to do after your photo session.
So, let’s get into it!
This is a big deal, and it is one that most people don’t bother with! Whether your photographer turns off your gallery after a certain amount of time… Or, if your computer crashes, you have the potential to lose all of your special images. Which, I promise you don’t want to deal with.
I recommend downloading your images and saving them in at least two locations. Some of your options are Google Photos, iCloud, hard drives, and so many more.
I know. I know. It is the 21st century, why would you need to print off photos after your photo session? I mean, you have a little bit of a point there. Everything is digital now, but that doesn’t mean that you can’t enjoy physical copies!
Honestly, it is my favorite way of enjoying photos. There just isn’t anything like it.
There is truly nothing more special than a home filled with photos.
Decorating Tip: Look at your home and see the spaces you want to put photos. Be sure to fill that space. Because I promise that the worst thing is a tiny print on a big wall.
Ask your photographer for help on sizing and gallery designs if you need them.
Albums are a great way to hold your memories in your hands. These albums can be displayed on a coffee table/bookshelf for easy access. And a great way to create a family yearbook as the years go on.
