After patiently waiting for their big day after postponing, Jhenna & Josh had their magical wedding. They tied the knot at La Cuesta Ranch with their families and friends. Jhenna & Josh are so supportive and show what a strong relationship looks like. A couple of my favorite moments was seeing her sisters ou and aw and Jhenna got ready and Josh’s reaction of seeing her at the alter. But my favorite part of the day was escaping to the top of the hill and hearing them share their vows to each other. Cue all the happy tears. Read a bit more about how it all started below. As well as seeing a few of my favorites from the day! It is always a pleasure to be back at La Cuesta Ranch wedding.
Jhenna was “cube-mates” with Josh’s mom, Davi. After working together for several months and Jhenna meeting Davi’s husband Tim at the Company Holiday Party, she told Jhenna that her and Tim decided to adopt her and became her “AZ parents”. Knowing that Jhenna was new to Phoenix and looking for friends, she asked if she could put Jhenna in contact with her son (who she felt could use more friends too). Josh texted Jhenna to hang out and on March 25, 2016 they met for the first time at Postino’s (a wine bar in Gilbert, AZ). Jhenna (like the open book she is) talked for 80% of the night and from there a friendship grew.
A few days after first meeting, Easter rolled around. With no immediate family in the area, Davi had invited Jhenna to spend Easter with her family. Jhenna got to see Josh again and met Sutton, Josh’s 2 year old daughter, for the first time. Over the next month, Jhenna and Josh hung out as friends. Jhenna would go over to play old school video games with Josh and Josh would visit Jhenna when she was bartending (and sometimes drag his friend/groomsmen Dana along with him). While Jhenna’s mom, Natasha, was visiting she got to meet Jhenna’s “AZ family” (Josh and Sutton included). On April 26, 2016 Davi and Josh invited Jhenna out to Dave & Busters with some friends and family. They had a great night out. Jhenna kicked Josh’s butt in basketball and now they are more than just friends.
On October 26, 2019 Josh and Jhenna were in New Orleans celebrating their belated 3 year anniversary on their 3.5 year mark of dating. They went on the Natchez dinner cruise and came back to their hotel room to exchange gifts. Jhenna opened her gift to find a wooden story book that Josh had made from scratch. Every page was laser etched with sweet words and pictures that are relevant to their relationship and life together. The last page had a puzzle that, when opened, exposed a beautiful ring. Jhenna cried and repeatedly asked “are you sure?” After calling their family and friends (all of whom knew it was coming), they were so excited to finally start this next chapter of their life: marriage and becoming a family.
