Cabo San Lucas is often synonymous with beachside bliss, and our recent weeklong stay there exceeded every expectation. With a group of twelve, including four kids under 10, Cabo proved to be an ideal destination, combining fun, relaxation, and a touch of luxury.
We chose the Pueblo Bonito Montecristo Estates Luxury Villas as our home base, and it was everything we could have hoped for. The villa was spacious, luxurious, and provided a breathtaking view over the hillside, with the ultimate bonus: a private infinity pool and hot tub just for our group.
Having a full kitchen meant we could make most of our meals and mix our own drinks, which was both convenient and a fun group activity.
Our package covered only the stay. Preparing our meals allowed us to enjoy Cabo’s local flavors at our own pace.
The resort’s location on the hill could have posed a challenge, but their shuttle service made getting around effortless. As guests of Pueblo Bonito, we had access to four other resorts in Cabo. This gave us a range of pool options and amenities without needing to venture far. It is a fantastic perk for any traveler.
One of the highlights of the trip was indulging in beach massages at The Sandbar.
Priced perfectly and positioned right on the beach, it was pure bliss. With the soft sand underfoot and the sound of the waves just steps away, the ambiance was unbeatable. Located above a bar, it’s worth noting there’s music playing. We found it added a lively element to the experience.
We loved it so much that we went twice!
As much as we loved cooking together at the villa, I couldn’t pass up a chance to try the famed tacos from Asi Y Asado.
The shrimp taco with pineapple salsa and chipotle crema was perfection. It was fresh, flavorful, and just the right balance of sweet and spicy. I also tried the fish taco, which was equally delicious.
Cabo’s tacos have a way of making you feel like you’ve tasted a little bit of paradise!
Our week was all about slowing down and enjoying each other’s company.
With a variety of pools and endless drink options at the resort, the hardest decision we faced daily was simply which pool to choose and what cocktail to sip. It’s a rare luxury to be so relaxed, and the villa offered the ideal setting for exactly that.
Thanks to our friends who are Cabo regulars, we could enjoy the experience like locals.
They took care of transportation, grocery runs, and general logistics, which made the trip feel even more relaxing and seamless. Knowing the ins and outs of Cabo, they made it easy for us to kick back and enjoy.
Including our flights, stay, groceries, and charges at the resort, we spent just under $3,000 for two people for the week.
For a vacation that combined luxury, comfort, and endless fun, it was more than worth it. If you’re planning a trip to Cabo, especially with a group, I can’t recommend this type of setup enough.
Our week in Cabo San Lucas was everything a group getaway should be: a perfect blend of relaxation, adventure, and quality time with friends.
With the luxury of Pueblo Bonito Montecristo Estates, unforgettable beachside massages, mouthwatering local food, and the ease of local insights, we felt like we truly got to experience the best of Cabo. Whether we were lounging by the pool or exploring new flavors, every moment felt like a much-needed escape from the everyday.
Cabo’s unique charm made it a trip we’ll remember for years, and it’s safe to say we’re already looking forward to our next visit!
