As a California Wedding Photographer, wedding photography has been a part of my life for quite some time now.
Honestly, it has taught me a whole lot about the dos and don’ts of the wedding industry. I can’t wait to share them all with you! If you are anything like me, then these might just make a huge difference on your wedding day.
This is a once and a lifetime day. There are going to be people and things that try to throw a wrench on this special day. Listen when I tell you to trust your gut.
You don’t want a day that you will regret.
Make your day your own.
Add in little bits and pieces that speak to you and your significant other. You can still do the first dance and cake cutting. However, throw in things that make it YOU.
Dance to your favorite song.
Eat your favorite dessert whether it is cake or not.
Your wedding, in all of its glory, is stressful… Like is REALLY STRESSFUL.
Take time during the day to practice self-care and encourage your significant other to do likewise. Find time in your schedule to take a nap, drink your favorite beverage, or sing your favorite tunes.
I know. I know. A photographer telling you to splurge on your documentation… HOW ORIGINAL! But, I promise you that it is so important!
I know at the moment, it is easy to think that you will remember the details forever… However, I promise that those memories will fade. Slowly but surely, you will come to forget those things that you swore would never leave your mind.
Having someone document every aspect of the day will make sure that you AND your generations to come will be able to relive your special day forever!
Your wedding images should not live on your hard drive. They should be displayed beautifully in print.
As a California Wedding Photographer, I sincerely believe in the importance of experiencing your wedding photographs in print. You should be able to hold those wedding day memories in your hands and cherish your images in a tangible format that you can pass on to your children and grandchildren.
