I had the privilege of witnessing Stephanie & Nathan tie the knot at the Pavilion on the Lake in Atascadero, California. It was a perfect Summer afternoon and all of the details came together beautifully. These two have a remarkable story about how life and love found their way to each other. Read below and see some of the highlights of the day!
It all started at BarrelHouse Brewing Co in Paso Robles on September 23rd, 2016. While listening to Burning James and the Funky Flames, their friends hit it off, so we hung out together. After the music ended, the mischief started. We followed the sound of Bear Market Riot across the bridge to Tin City Cider, where we crashed a brewers’ party for a while until we were asked to leave.
A few weeks later on October 14th, they met up as friends at Lefondusac to listen to Burning James again. This time, they just couldn’t resist each other’s smile and the twinkle in their eyes. They danced as close as possible that night, and when the music was over they went to the Pour House together for more music. By the end of the night, it was clear that there was some strong chemistry between them. On November 8th we had our first real date, dinner at Que Pasa and a Tuesday evening movie, the second Jack Reacher.
More than two years of dates and adventures later, they took a trip to Camp Nelson with two of Stephanie’s kids, Ashley and James. While everyone was admiring the view of the forest from the deck of the cabin, Nathan presented the ring and proposed. The answer was yes, and there were hugs all around. Stephanie couldn’t wait to put on the ring. The only disappointment was having to wait three days before we could share the exciting news with anyone else.
They decided to plan the wedding quickly so that all of Stephanie’s kids could be there. As soon as they got home, the wedding planning began! They tied the knot in September and plan on honeymoon to Kauai later in the fall. Then the real challenge – merging two households into one!
