Kasey & Troy got married inside the historic barn at the stunning Halter Ranch Winery in Paso Robles, California. Their love story is iconic as they met in high school and haven’t left each other’s side since then. All of the details came together to create a memorable event filled with happy tears and lots of sweet embraces. But let’s jump back to the night Troy proposed to the love of his life!

The Proposal

After months of planning and secret keeping, Troy managed to pull off the ultimate surprise. As many of you know, Kasey is not easy to surprise. She has the hearing of a dog and investigative skills that rival the FBI. Troy used a family friend’s “holiday party” as his cover-up. He told Kasey that they needed to drop a book off to a family friend’s son that had been left behind when the two had picked him up from school before they went to the party. Troy had trouble even getting Kasey out the door. She changed her outfit numerous times, only to end up back in her original dress. As Kasey put them more and more behind schedule, Troy even offered to help do her hair. This definitely should have tipped Kasey off.

Troy finally got Kasey in the car and downtown to drop the book off to the hotel where the family friend worked. They went to a private outdoor area. It had a fireplace and decorated with a pillow that read, “I have found the one whom my soul loves.” Again, Kasey missed this clue. After sitting and chatting, Kasey questioned if the book was part of the high school curriculum, as she had never heard of the book or read it in school. She was right, it wasn’t a high school book!

The family friend came to grab the book, realizing that Kasey was not going to put the book down. Moments later, Troy reached for his pocket, got down on one knee and asked Kasey to marry him. Kasey, of course, said “YES” right away! Little did Kasey know, both families had been watching from out of sight. Soon after Troy popped the question, they all ran from their hiding spots to celebrate.
