Downtown San Luis Obispo and Madonna Inn Engagement Session - California Wedding

Lyle & Jacob ventured down from the Bay Area for their engagement session. We kept it classic San Luis Obispo with starting at the Mission and ending at the Madonna Inn. I seriously could not stop laughing during their session! They have been together for nearly nine years. And they can’t wait to tie the knot this Summer at the Paso Robles Inn with their families. Here is a little snippet written by Lyle about their love story and why the Central Coast is close to their hearts.

We met through hometown (Sacramento) mutual friends while both living in San Francisco for college back in 2011. We had similar interests, friend groups, and even went to rival high schools; yet we never met until these mutual friends gathered a group to hang out in the city. In 2014, I left San Francisco for graduate school in Los Angeles. This meant we would do long-distance as he had a great job in the Bay Area. During the long-distance, we came up with a plan to meet in the middle every 3 months, which meant meeting in the Central Coast area. In our two meetups, we went to San Simeon, Cayucos, Harmony, Cambria, San Luis Obispo, Morro Bay, and Paso Robles.

We fell in love with the area and knew if we ever got married it would be in the middle as a reminder of what we were willing to do for our relationship to continue to thrive. Also, the Central Coast is a good middle for families coming from Sacramento and Los Angeles! Long-distance only lasted about 9 months before he moved down to Los Angeles and now we both found our way back to the city where we met. We are ready for the next chapter of our lives together.
