After seven years of being together, Katy and Alex made it official with their private estate wedding celebration. Hosted at the Groom’s parents’ house in Paso Robles, California, it was the perfect spot to tie the knot.

Not only was their venue super special to them, but they had some incredible handmade items. The mother of the bride made Katy’s dress and veil! They also did their flowers and decor. But then I overheard that they made their wedding bands with family metal. How cool is that?!

So here are our top three reasons why we love a private estate wedding venue:

Food: You can bring in any caterer you want. Estates give you the unique opportunity to have a wide selection of dinner options, combining your dream venue with your perfect cuisine. You can also choose the option of either having a fancy plated dinner or a more casual dinner set-up. Our favorite option is a food truck! Unique and cost-effective.

Alcohol: No limits! You can have any type and as much or as little as you want. We still recommend hiring a bar staff to serve your guests. This can be cost-effective as well when you can buy in bulk. Costco for the win here!

Unique Venue: Because not everyone can have access to this property, it is a very unique wedding venue. And in this case, a very personal and sentimental touch for the families.

Privacy: The entire property is yours. No wedding crashes here. An estate wedding guarantees your guests alone will be present, making for a much more personal feel.
