How to have a more relaxed wedding day?

Wedding days can become hectic and stressful with lots of moving pieces. And well, you want to be present and enjoy your wedding day fully!! So here are some tips to have a more relaxed wedding day! Stacey and Aaron had an intimate wedding at Still Waters Winery in Paso Robles and were able to be very present celebrating all day!

Limited Guest Count

I’ve actually had quite a few couples doing this lately. Invite your family that you have a close relationship with. Invite your best friends. And that’s it! You will have the opportunity to chat with each guest and be able to splurge a bit on either food or drinks!

Do A First Look

Yes. He will cry at both moments. So do the first look. Get portraits done when your makeup and hair are the freshest. Share a moment just the two of you and chat about the day together and what you are most looking forward to. This way, you can do portraits, any bridal party, and immediate family photos all before the ceremony. You can then choose how you want to spend your cocktail hour.

Keep the Reception Simple

Traditions like the bouquet and garter toss are becoming less and less present on wedding days. Keep your reception simple with toasts, dancing, and maybe a cake cutting. The rest of the time you can chat with guests or turn up the dance floor. It can feel tiresome being pulled from one thing to the next all night long. Pro tip: also do these things close to the beginning of your reception.
