Gabrielle & Gareth celebrated their marriage at Sculptera Winery located in the heart of Paso Robles wine country. Since these two said I do at her parent’s back yard in 2020, they still wanted their big celebration with all of their friends and family present. Between Covid postponing their event multiple times to rain in the forecast, Gaby and Gareth embraced it all.
1. Know what plan B is
When booking your wedding venue, think about where you would host everyone in the event of inclement weather. If you want to keep it outside, look into clear tents.
2. Hire a planner!
They will know how to keep you and your guests happy all night long and will have the resources to find a tent, heaters and more.
3. Embrace it
Your wedding day is going to be magical no matter what the weather does. You are celebrating with your best friend. So what if it sprinkles! It’s cozy, romantic, intimate, and will provide a more unique experience for your guests. Especially in California where we are in a drought, we aren’t going to tell mother nature not to express herself.
4. Get some cute rainy day essentials
We recommend getting clear bubble umbrellas for you two, your bridal party, and your parents. Blankets and throws are great to add for your guests to stay cozy and warm. Get yourself some cute bridal rain boots! Dry feet will keep you happy all night long.
5. Be Practical
Guests want to be dry and warm if it’s raining. So provide them with towels to clear of chairs. And lots of hot tea and coffee to warm them from the inside out. And although not the cutest thing in the world, ponchos are so useful if you are keeping your ceremony outside.
6. Be Flexible
When inclement weather is present, things take longer to get accomplished. So don’t worry if you need to make last-minute adjustments or if you are running behind schedule. Take a deep breath and be present on the best day ever!
