Kayleigh and Mike had a beautiful spring ceremony at the stunning Avila Beach Lighthouse Suites. They had their closest family and friends present and it was so intimate and sweet. Their personal vows had all of us tearing up. I loved how they use classic colors. of whites, creams, and greenery.

Springtime at Avila Beach is beautiful but the weather can be unpredictable. So there are some things to prepare for when having a wedding or event right on the beach.

The Temperature:

You might have 60s or 80s. So plan to have a cute wrap for later in the day if it is going to be chilly.

The Wind:

Springtime brings lots of wind to the central coast. And being on the beach and waterfront, you are exposed to the elements. So be prepared. Think of an alternative hair style that brings hair out of your face. Like a half-up or complete up-do. Have your hairstylist do extra hairspray, provide extra hair pins, and have hairspray in the space for right before the ceremony.

Be Flexible:

If the weather isn’t cooperating, be flexible. You might need to move your ceremony location or time a bit to account for weather.

Thankfully, the meterologists were very wrong for Kayleigh and Mike’s special day. It was predicted that they would have 20mph gusts. They moved their ceremony from on the beach to inside the property to the sundeck. The beach was quite crowded, so it was a great move. So their ceremony was intimate and free of party crashers.
