Looking back at last year and reflecting on all the aspects of owning Nikkels Photography has been a delight. I had the honor to capture so many precious moments with so many people who trusted my vision. Trusted me to preserve particular moments in their life that they want to remember. Below are some of my favorites and some that I feel reflect ‘the best’ of 2016. I couldn’t possibly place them all here, so if you’d like to see more, head over to THE BLOG! Thanks a million, everyone. I couldn’t have done it without each and every one of you!!!

2016 was a year for growth. It was a year filled with getting to know more of who I am and what I can bring to the families experience. I learned more about my camera, about pushing some boundaries, and telling myself I can do it. Sometimes it was hard, and sometimes I questioned myself. Doubted if I would make it. Now-a-days, people can take pictures all the time from a camera that fits in their pocket. But most, if not all, of those memories stay in the phone, stay on the screen, and get lost in the constant thread of social media. My goal is that all of my clients and those who view my work want to break free from this trend. I want albums on their coffee tables. I want canvases on their walls. I want small prints to be in their offices and places of work. Life goes by so fast. Many of these things we hold dear, get lost or forgotten. Those dimples. Those goofy faces. Those hugs and those kisses. Let’s remind each other every day of the life we live.
