Harmony Chapel and Gardens Rainy Spring Wedding

It was a rainy and magical afternoon in the quaint town of Harmony, California. After 13 years of knowing each other, Chelsey & Daniel tied the knot beside their closest family and friends by their side. When they aren’t chilling with their two pups, they enjoy going to Dodger Games, playing golf, and exploring the outdoors. Their wedding day came with some surprises like the rain. It was like a winter rainstorm. By the end of the night, but everyone embraced it and danced the night away!

Family and friends used their expertise and rocked hair, makeup, coordinating, and florals!! Auten Boys Catering were amazing with a complete reception change from outside to inside setup right before the ceremony. And Jimmy kept the night going with amazing music! Plus there was tasty ice cream waiting for guests after dinner. Harmony Valley Creamery has so many great flavors. The cookies & cream and coffee bean are my go-to’s. So if it rains on your wedding day, it ok!! Embrace it and savor the day with your loved ones! Below is Chelsey & Daniel’s love story of how it all began and how he proposed!

They met on July 4th, 2006. We met while camping at Lake Isabella by accident through our families and friends. We spent time on the boat and building sandcastles all weekend. After the weekend was over, she went home to find a friend request on MySpace from Daniel and we talked quite often on AIM then eventually started texting. Chelsey’s mom wouldn’t let her hang out with Daniel because he was, “one of those King boys.” As we got older, and had our own cars, as fate would have it, we began dating in June 2014 and have been in love since.

He proposed on December 24, 2018. We went to Yosemite for a couple of days around Christmas to get out of town. The first day we were there, they went on a hike to Mirror Lake. Chelsey was sure if Daniel was going to propose, he would have done it then. The next morning they wanted to go hike around Mariposa Grove, but due to weather, it was closed. So Daniel suggested we hike to Artist’s Point. About 15 minutes in, after scaling a rock to find the trail, she was over it and was ready to turn around. But he persisted we keep going and every five minutes would say, “it can’t be that much further.” Once we reached the top, she was taking a picture. When he kept calling her name until finally, she said “WHAT!” and turned around to find him down on one knee.
