The White Barn - Edna Valley Summer Wedding with Neutrals and Black

Their love story started over eight years ago, but on July 27, 2019, these two became one. The White Barn, located in the heart of the Edna Valley in San Luis Obispo, provided a stunning backdrop. Between their heartfelt first look, to their sweet vows shared, to dancing the night away, it was a beautiful day! Check out some of the highlights below and as well as read their love story of how it all began!! Thanks for having us there to capture this amazing day, Amanda & Eric!!

It was November 2010, and it was Big Game day, Cal vs Stanford. Eric had just finished playing in the game and was walking down Durant St. with some of his friends. At the same time, Amanda was walking up Durant St. with some of her friends when the two ran into each other. They had heard of one another through mutual friends and had seen each other in passing but hadn’t officially met. Eric invited Amanda to a get together at his house that night with some friends…and the rest is history.

Eric graduated Cal in December 2012 and moved to Tennessee to train for the NFL. Although Amanda and Eric were in different states, they frequently visited one another. On one particular visit, Amanda and Eric enjoyed a night out together with some family and friends. They walked around on Broadway, listened to live music and went to their first monster truck rally. This was where Amanda and Eric first said, “I love you”. Yes, you read that right. They said “I love you” for the first time at a monster truck rally in Nashville. On another memorable visit, Eric planned a romantic dinner at a restaurant called Merchants to celebrate Valentine’s Day.

Eric and Amanda did long distance from December 2012 to July 2015. These years consisted of many milestones. Amanda and Eric graduating Cal. Eric joining the St. Louis Rams. Amanda going to St. Mary’s to start her teaching credential and her masters. Eric becoming an LA City firefighter. And Amanda becoming a teacher. In July 2015, Amanda made the move down to Southern CA. October of 2016, Amanda and Eric moved into their beach cottage in Costa Mesa. Then in June 2017, they got a chocolate lab puppy named Duke. He immediately stole their hearts and is definitely the most spoiled dog in the world.

In February 2018, Eric and Amanda planned a trip to Nashville to visit Eric’s brother, Craig, and his family. The first night they got there Eric planned a night out downtown. Craig drove them downtown and dropped them off. Amanda and Eric walked around on Broadway and then headed toward the Pedestrian Bridge. When they were in just the right spot with a beautiful view of downtown Nashville, Eric got down on one knee and asked Amanda to marry him. She, of course, said “YES!” To Amanda’s surprise, Craig was hiding on the bridge and captured the beautiful moment. Eric and Amanda celebrated their engagement with a romantic dinner at Merchants,
